Being Bored

Am I shooting out of repetition
or
am I trying to create something new,
something out of my comfort zone?
So with that, I am trying to tackle my work in a different light.

As my work evolves, I started to feel I am trying to recreate work
that I see on social media.
It is hard to be original as there is so much great work out there.
And so, this month I am giving myself a challenge.
I recently heard a podcast talking about how we need time for
our mind to wonder.
We need to be bored.
We need to let our imagination do the entertainment instead
of always listening to music, or watching a video, or listening to a podcast.
All these things require our attention to some degree.
We are going day by day, not giving our mind enough time to relax.
We listen to music during our commute,
we watch a video while we eat,
we scroll through Instagram right before bed.
When do we give our mind a break?

That being said.
Let’s get bored together.
